Today I just want to talk about a cool friggin’ video that I’ve just seen on YOUTUBE of the Vlog Brothers and it’s called Fun is important, being serious isn’t. For me, the tittle sums it all, and if you see the whole vid is just like really simple but the message is clearly awesome.

First of all, I mean, Hank ( the guy who’s talking )  is right about having FUN in every little damn thing of our simple lives. I don’t fully understand why do many people are interested in being serious…   why??…

Take for example, those bosses and CEO’s that can’t stop working because being serious is the way for them to get some income, well, IT’S NOT TRUE!!!.

Here’s a proof; do you think that Bill Gates and Steve Jobs have what they have because they were serious?, no, they had their projects because IT WAS FUN FOR THEM.

Do you think that Mark Zuckerberg is a serious person?, no, he’s just some nerdy horny guy who wanted to have all the women in his little project so he can jack off anytime he wanted, and look where he is now. ( So in a way, being a horny dude is ALSO more important than being serious ).

Like Hank says, other things are important; Nature, feelings, friends, family, watch you dog go straight to a glass when he thinks there’s not ( friggin’ awesome )…   and so on and so forth.

In mi case, I kinda maintain a good balance for every stuff in mi life; I work really hard but never get away from the people I like/love.

So here you are…   important is serious for you or what??….   COMMENT!!!

Justin Motherf****ng’ Bieber…   what the f**k!!. As I was changing the channels on TV, this spoiled little brat was in a show in 3 out of 5 channels that I was watching. I mean, Nick, CN and CNN…   WTF!!. And what’s with the heart sign with his hands. I mean look at his face; says “I want some friggin’ c**ks!!” all over it.

Let me leave you this.

When Steve was developing the next gem of Apple Gadgets, he was pretty drunk as he was doing it. I think you know where I’m going with this.

I think Steve Jobs is one of the most perfectionist dudes on earth. That’s why for me it’s outrageous that when you buy this gadget, and when you realize that the friggin’ signal is low, you go to any Apple Store and they just say to you: “It’s normal, just don’t put your hand on that spot”…   WTF!!. They Even marked the spot with a little line on the side of the phone. An Epic FAIL for me.

WAKA WAKA

Shakira is all over the place with this song that makes my inner daemon come out. Every soul on FB has “WAKA WAKA” as their profile message…   unbelievable.

I mean, yes she has a mayor ASSage, but that song really sucks.

For so long I’ve been aware of the amount of media players on the OS’s we know so far, and at some point, it’s been dificult for me to choose a good media player in these times. For example, some people look for speed. Others looking for organization. And some others just looking for coolness…

In mi case, I look for all of  ‘em, knowing that everything’s not perfect and the one I choose could not have some things that I need.

The most popular for me is Winamp. Been using it since I downloaded my first mp3.

At some point I think this is the best one there is out there because it has everything that I need, like a library to organize your music, and keyboard shortcuts to manage the program not even focusing on the main window.

There are others like Windows Media Player, which is my second best media player. Simple, fast, and organized…    well, not so much.

Now there’s no easy-picking library with the newer versions. I think that finding files is IMPORTANT for the user. For example, not many users find their music typing their names; in my case, I just flip down Winamp’s list and pick a random file. Not so many times I go and find an especific song.

Another important thing about the Media Players is the info on the track. This is where Songbird gets it all…

This is the freshman of media players and made by Mozilla labs. At some point this Player gets all the newer info on your MP3 files, even the lyrics with a plugin that it has. The only thing is that is not working properly on Windows Seven but for my Ubuntu personal experience, is by far a great one.

On the other side of the road we have Rhythymbox and Amarok…

Both of them are available for Linux-based OS’s like Ubuntu and Kubuntu and unlike Winamp, they have fewer functions which makes them a normal Media Players.

At some point it’s dificult to choose a Media Player that suplies all our needs. But if we look on the bright side of the pic, there’s a Media Player for all kinds of personalities.

Yes, boys and girls. This is a question that I’ve been asking myself every day of my life…    mostly when I’m playing newer games like Fable or Counter Strike or Combat Arms or whatever game I’m playing.

But that’s the thing; you’ll be having more fun when playing these games than playing XBOX 360 (although I’m a friggin’ fan of 360). Take for example Mario Bros; what is that 2 plumbers and a princess have that keeps us attached to the TV and PC (emulator) screens?, what is it?…    are there some rare subliminal patterns programed to show every second when you’re playing??

The perfect example for this is when I’m out there playin’ CS 1.6, givin’ some brutal head-shots, it comes to me a sweet feeling of playing something that calms me down and gives me happiness, let’s say Balloon Fight for example.

This games brings back a lot of good memories, like when I had my first Nintendo console and it came with tons of games inside. The first one I played was this, because I already knew Mario Bros, Mario Bros 2 (boring) and SMB3. Nevertheless, is so cool that you have to destroy other dudes balloons, and the fact that you have to avoid sharks and thunders. I heard like a year ago that some guy was developing a re-make of this for the XBLA.

Other games like Road Fighter, Bionic Commando or even Tetris comes to my mind right now, and I remember what wonderful times I had playing good ol’ Nintendo games.

Well lads and gents, we continue on the discussion about pads that hunts our gaming life…   nevertheless, don’t spect something outstanding on the next ones.

SEGA

Ok, so our next contender show a wide gamma of controllers, from cross pads to joypads, from a 2-button pad to a x-button pad:

As I said, the changes are remarcable. I mean, look at the jump between Saturn and Dreamcast. Not to mention the games on each console. I only played Genesis, Saturn and Dreamcast and each one is fine to me; cool games, nice graphics and too much fun to give to gamers. It’s sad that they don’t build consoles anymore, and it’s even more sad that they sold their rights of Sonic and many other games to Nintendo.

Play Station

Well what can I say about the controllers…     no visible changes AT ALL!!!…

I mean, I’m just wasting my time showing you the “changes”. And it’s more frustrating to me to say that one of the most successful consoles company has disappointed me with it’s newer console, which is for me a sunken ship in the middle of the ocean.

Yes people…   we’re here to talk about Pads, interesting topic don’t you think.

For the past 20 years or sum’, we’ve been experiencing beautiful changes regarding pads on our consoles. But the pint of this article is to create questions on your minds people…   for example, so you think that the changes of the pads on every console refers to an obvious evolution?…   or is just getting you the most uncomfortable experience with your console?…

Nintendo

Let’s take for example all the nintendo pads:

The changes so far so good in nintendo pads…   the worst for me is the GC Pad. Sucks balls big time because the right side of the pad is not properly designed. That just only my opinion, the rest are just fine, especialy the NES’s pad…   so cool and yet so simple.

As for me I see evolution on the Nintendo consoles everywhere, they’re not my type of consoles that I could spend some money on, but they’ve done their job good enough.

Atari

I remember that my first console was the Atari 2600. Beautiful games on those times. Just watching the pixels comming up and down and the prehistoric sounds, just to make a pleasant gaming night with my family and friends. But let’s take a look at the Pads that the Atari consoles gave to us:

I don’t know you guys but I’m starting to notice a pattern here…   the NOT-FRIGGIN’-EVOLUTIONING PATTERN!!. That’s why that consoles never made it nowadays, just because the players were so unconfortable playing with those controllers. THIS IS PAD MANIA MADNESS FOR GOD SAKES!!!. I mean, I saw a video of some games on the Jaguar and it was suposed to be a 65 bit gaming console, but those 64 bit were not used AT ALL!!…

For me, there was good times and PS…    each one separated from the other.

I remember or one ‘xmas, going bananas with my N64 and Super Mario 64, but there was one thing missing; good games. For example, at that time I had Super Mario 64 and…    nothing else…   ‘CAUSE THE FRIGGIN’ CARTRIDGES WERE TO DAMN EXPENSIVE!!…   so I considered myself an SRD ( stands for Super Rental Dude ).

For the next ‘xmas I thought: “Nintendo is always trying to get into our wallets and no further more, and I want a gaming system that gets to my heart…   let’s try something diferent…”, the it came, the only thing I’ve been considering for years as the most outstanding gaming system ever.

For that time, I remember going with my fasha’ (as GoldMember says Father) to Saint Andrews’s Place. We asked for it, and it was the best investment that I have done in years…   well not me, my dad’s investment.

It came with 3 games and 2 controls for maximun fun times. I remember that I choose:

• 007: Tomorrow never dies
• Crash Bandicoot (all 3 of ‘em)
• International Superstar Soccer (HELL YEAH!!)

But there were all type of games for this console. Let’s take for example in the cars genre, NFS Road & Track. On the N64 for the time I asked for it was San Francisco Rush, a s**tty game that I play ’till nowadays. But never compared to this one where you could play with diferent types of cars and the most fun was that this was the first game to get the five-o’s in it.

The other game that I consider a really friggin’ good stuff was Road Rash Jailbreak, a NFS style game but with motorcycles and bad ass on-road rumbles and crap like it.

that was until 2001 that I met PS2. First thing I said when I say it was…   WOW!!!!…

Newer games, newer graphics, newer fun stuff!!. I didn’t bought this one but, nevertheless, It was a good console with nice games like Shadow of the Colossus, Prince of Persia, NFS Underground, GTA Series, God of War…   and so on and so on…

And 2 years back from now, It came the most s**tty console ever existed (for me)…    PS3.

Why s**tty???…     ok, here’s what sony said when they designed the product:

Hey I got an idea, why we cannot do the same as Nintendo; just get into people’s wallets. I mean, we can do the same PS2 games with better graphics and that’s it. We put some BlueRay stuff to fool the people because they won’t use it because it’s just for our games, and that’s about it…   how ’bout that??…   YAAYYYY!!!!

F**K YOU SONY BASTERDS!…   you played with us big time pal’. When this big turd came, it has the most errors that a console could have had for god sakes. I mean, a friend of mine had one when it came out, and he had to put a fan beneath this so it would’t go overheating its ass off. Oh and what can I say about the games…   plain old PS2 games remastered. This year finally came out some decent games like Heavy Rain and Sony’s Uncharted.

But, aside of these last inconvenients, it has been 15 wonderfull years of fun and top quality entertainment. As for me, I won’t buy PS3, right now I’m a fan of 360 ( YAYY!!! ).

A long time ago, some crappy programer did this; a super mega shitty friggin’ pain-in-the-ass insane mod for Mario Brothers on NES. The game is called MARIO FRUSTRATION, frustration you say?…    HELL FRIGGIN’ YEAH!!…

I mean I saw this, and I even downloaded the rom to even “try” to complete the game, but believe me, I’m a big fan of Mario’s old games, and I consider myself a good Mario player (for all 3 Mario’s games), but this game is the friggin’ s**t. And of course there’s a guy talking all the time…   talking?, I’m sorry…   SWEARING HILARIOUSLY!
